Chocolate Pecan Ooey Gooey Butter Cake

A rich and decadent dessert with a chocolate pecan crust and a gooey cream cheese filling.

For the Crust:

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix chocolate cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg until combined. Stir in chopped pecans. Press mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add 2 eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well. Gradually add powdered sugar and beat until smooth.
  4. Pour cream cheese mixture over the crust in the pan. Spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until edges are set but the center is still slightly gooey.
  6. Let cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
