For the Crust:
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 cups powdered sugar
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix chocolate cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg until combined. Stir in chopped pecans. Press mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add 2 eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well. Gradually add powdered sugar and beat until smooth.
- Pour cream cheese mixture over the crust in the pan. Spread evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until edges are set but the center is still slightly gooey.
- Let cool before slicing and serving.
