For the Crust:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 4 cups potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a skillet, brown ground beef with diced onion; drain excess fat. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Layer half the potato slices in the baking dish. Top with the cooked beef mixture, then remaining potatoes.
- Whisk together cream of mushroom soup and milk; pour over casserole. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake uncovered for 15 more minutes until cheese is bubbly and potatoes are tender.
