Cheesy Baked Stuffed Tomatoes

Juicy tomatoes stuffed with a cheesy, herbed filling and baked to perfection.

For the Crust:

  • 4 large tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the tops off the tomatoes and scoop out the seeds and pulp, leaving a thick shell.
  2. In a bowl, mix mozzarella, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic, basil, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stuff each tomato with the cheese mixture, pressing gently to fill completely.
  4. Place tomatoes in a baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes until the tops are golden and tomatoes are tender.
  5. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
