  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 6 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 12 jalapeño peppers, seeded and minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Combine the chopped tomatoes, onion, jalapeño peppers, and cilantro in a medium bowl.
  2. Add the lime juice, salt, black pepper, and minced garlic to the bowl.
  3. Stir all ingredients together until well mixed.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, adding more salt or lime juice to preference.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld before serving.

Notes

For a smoother salsa, pulse the ingredients in a food processor a few times. Adjust the heat by adding more or fewer jalapeños. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
