- 1–2 jalapeño peppers, seeded and minced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Instructions
- Combine the chopped tomatoes, onion, jalapeño peppers, and cilantro in a medium bowl.
- Add the lime juice, salt, black pepper, and minced garlic to the bowl.
- Stir all ingredients together until well mixed.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, adding more salt or lime juice to preference.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld before serving.
Notes
For a smoother salsa, pulse the ingredients in a food processor a few times. Adjust the heat by adding more or fewer jalapeños. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
