  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup eggnog
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons eggnog
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggnog, egg, and vanilla.
  4. Gradually mix in dry ingredients until just combined. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto prepared baking sheets.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Cool on wire racks.
  6. For glaze, whisk powdered sugar, eggnog, and nutmeg until smooth. Drizzle over cooled cookies.
