- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp hot sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix buttermilk with 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning. Add shrimp and marinate for 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, combine flour, remaining Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet to 375°F. Dredge each shrimp in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
- Fry shrimp in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- For the sauce, whisk together mayonnaise, hot sauce, honey, and lemon juice. Serve shrimp hot with dipping sauce.
