Juicy shrimp coated in a crispy, spicy Cajun breading, served with a creamy, tangy dipping sauce that perfectly balances the heat.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp horseradish
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Pat shrimp dry with paper towels. In three separate bowls, place flour, beaten eggs, and panko mixed with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Dredge each shrimp in flour, dip in egg, then coat thoroughly in the seasoned panko mixture.
  3. Heat 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet to 350°F. Fry shrimp in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  4. For the sauce, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce in a small bowl until smooth.
  5. Serve shrimp immediately with the special dipping sauce.
