Baklava Bundt Cake

A delicious fusion of classic baklava flavors in a moist bundt cake, layered with nuts and honey syrup.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup chopped pistachios
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt pan thoroughly.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Set aside.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until light. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in yogurt and vanilla.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine walnuts, pistachios, and cinnamon.
  6. Pour half the batter into the bundt pan. Sprinkle half the nut mixture over it. Repeat layers.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. While cake bakes, simmer honey, water, and lemon juice for 5 minutes to make syrup.
  9. Let cake cool for 10 minutes, then pour warm syrup over it. Cool completely before serving.
