For the Crust:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups diced apples
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla. Stir into dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in diced apples. Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden. Let cool slightly.
- Whisk powdered sugar and milk for glaze. Drizzle over warm fritters.
