Baked Apple Fritters

A healthier take on classic apple fritters, baked to golden perfection with a sweet glaze.

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla. Stir into dry ingredients until just combined.
  4. Fold in diced apples. Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden. Let cool slightly.
  6. Whisk powdered sugar and milk for glaze. Drizzle over warm fritters.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
