Avocado, Mozzarella, and Tomato Grilled Cheese

A warm, flavorful sandwich with creamy avocado, gooey mozzarella cheese, and juicy tomato, grilled to golden perfection in under 10 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 avocado, sliced
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 4 cherry tomatoes, sliced in half
  • 2 slices multigrain bread
  • Butter, for spreading

Instructions

  1. Butter the outside layers of both slices of bread.
  2. Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Place one slice, buttered side down, in the pan.
  3. Layer the mozzarella cheese, sliced tomatoes, and avocado on top of the bread in the pan.
  4. Place the other slice of bread on top, buttered side up.
  5. Cook for a few minutes until the bottom slice is golden brown.
  6. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from the pan, slice in half if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

Use sourdough or sprouted grain bread for extra texture. Add arugula or pesto for variation.
