For the Crust:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add pumpkin puree, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle chopped pecans evenly over the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool before serving.
