The Best Air Fryer Asparagus – Easy Recipe

  • 1 pound fresh asparagus
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons pecorino cheese – optional for serving
  • Lemon – optional for serving

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the asparagus and trim the ends by cutting them about 1-2 inches from the bottom.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F.
  3. Place the trimmed asparagus into a large bowl or dish, drizzle it with olive oil, and season it with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Then toss to coat it all in the oil and seasoning.
  4. Lay the seasoned asparagus in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook it until tender and crispy. About 5-10 minutes depending on how thick your asparagus is. See suggested cooking times in the recipe notes.
  5. Serve immediately with a sprinkle of pecorino cheese and a squeeze of lemon. Alternatively, you can also add a pinch of red pepper flakes for some spice.
