Air Fryer Asian Sticky Wings

Crispy, flavorful chicken wings with a sweet and savory Asian-inspired glaze, cooked to perfection in the air fryer.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, split into drumettes and flats
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat air fryer to 380°F (190°C). Pat wings dry and toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Arrange wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 25 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy and cooked through.
  3. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, hoisin, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry, then whisk into the sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  5. Toss cooked wings in the sauce until evenly coated. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
